The Microsoft Teams and Calendar home page widgets bring Microsoft 365 content into iManage Work, so users can see their Microsoft Teams meetings and conversations and their calendar directly on their home page—next to their recent documents and workspaces, without switching to another app. Because the widgets are powered by Microsoft Graph, making them available is a two-part setup in iManage Control Center: first you enable Microsoft Graph API home page widgets, then you grant tenant-wide admin consent for each app.

Before you begin

The Microsoft Teams and Calendar home page widgets are powered by Microsoft Graph. Before users can add these widgets to their iManage Work home page, an administrator enables Microsoft Graph API home page widgets and grants tenant-wide admin consent for each app in iManage Control Center.

You need:

  • Administrator access to iManage Control Center.

  • A Microsoft 365 administrator account that can grant tenant-wide admin consent for your organization.

NOTE: Granting tenant-wide admin consent means individual users aren't prompted to consent to the Microsoft Graph permissions themselves.

Enable the Microsoft Graph API home page widgets

To enable the widgets:

  1. Open iManage Control Center.

  2. In the left navigation, under Work Clients, select iManage Platform (web).

  3. Select the Home Page tab.

  4. Under Enable Microsoft Graph API home page widgets, select Yes.

Grant admin consent for the connected apps

After you enable the widgets, grant tenant-wide admin consent for each app you want to make available. Each app is consented separately.

To grant consent:

  1. In the Connected Apps section, select Grant consent next to Microsoft Teams or Calendar.

  2. In the Microsoft sign-in window, select an administrator account, or select Use another account to sign in with a different account.

  3. Review and accept the requested permissions. Consent is granted for that app, and the widget becomes available in the Home Page Widgets list.

  4. To make both widgets available, repeat Steps 1 through 3 for the other app.

NOTE: You must sign in with an account that has admin permissions. If you sign in with a non-admin account, the following message is displayed and consent isn't granted:

iManage Graph Service needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it.

In that case, ask a Microsoft 365 administrator to grant consent for the app.

Add a widget to the default home page

The Home Page Widgets list controls which widgets appear on users' home pages by default, and in what order.

To add a widget to the default home page:

  1. On the Home Page tab, in the Home Page Widgets list, select the check box next to the widget (for example, Microsoft Teams).

  2. To change where the widget appears, drag it to the position you want.

Changes are saved immediately; there is no separate save action.

Selecting a widget's check box adds it to the default home page for all users. Users can also add any available widget to their own iManage Work home page.
