In Records Manager client applications, frequently used report formats can be accessed using hot links. Report formats configured as Hot links help the user to connect the frequently accessed reports to Print buttons.
The Configure Hot Links Reports tab in Application Designer lets you specify the report formats that should be available in these hot links.
To configure the hot links for reports:
In Application Designer, select Configuration.
In the Configuration pane, select the Report Settings node.
All the tabs available for modifying the report settings are displayed in Application Designer.Select the Configure Hot Link Reports tab.
From the Select a link to configure list, select File Plan Summary Report.
The default set of report matters in Application Designer that can be made available as hot links in Records Manager client applications are listed in the following table.

For each of the above link types, Application Designer lets you add one or more report formats. The following steps describe how additional report formats can be added using the File Plan Summary Report link and the File Plan Summary and Document Index report formats. The procedure for all the links and report formats is the same.
By default, only File Plan Summary Report is provided as a hot link. You can select any report format from the Available Report Formats list. For example, select the Document Index report format and then select Add.
Available Report Formats and Selected Report Formats lists are updated with values.Select Close. This saves the changes to the draft data model on the Records Manager server.
After these changes are saved and published, the reports under the Selected report formats list become available as hot links in the Record Manager client application.
Desktop client users can select these Hot links from the Report group in the Options dialog on the Tools menu. On selecting the required report format, it gets added as a Hot link and is visible in the context menu.
The following reports are generated by selecting the first five and the last two Hot links listed in the following table.
