In the toolbar, select New Report. The New Report dialog opens.

From the Category list, select a report category. A list of report formats available to the selected category opens in the Formats list.

From the Formats list, choose a report format to select how information should be displayed in the report. The grouping associated with the selected format is displayed below the Formats list.

From the Sort by list, select a sort order for the report.

To limit the scope of the report, select Set Report Criteria. The criteria available are unique to the type of report you generate.

To print a representation of the report criteria in the report header, select the Print criteria check box. 

To change output options, select the Output drop-down and select one of the following options:  

• Generate Preview. 

• Generate Preview and Open Print Dialog. 

• Generate Preview and Print

• Generate PDF

• Generate XML

• Generate CSV

NOTE: The REST server is used to Generate PDF, Generate CSV, or Generate XML, for most types of reports. This requires valid and trusted server certificates. If SAML authentication is used, identity provider (for example ADFS) certificates must also be valid and trusted for report generation to succeed. For more information about certificates, refer to the Edit Additional Cluster Settings section in iManage Records Manager Administration Guide.

To save this report in the Saved Reports node:

1. Select the Save this report as check box.

2. In the Name field, enter a name for this saved report.

Select OK. The report is generated and appears in the Report View (unless Generate PDF, Generate CSV, or Generate XML was selected). In that case, the file is created and saved directly.
