After users request items, you receive an alert notifying you that these items are due for delivery.
To Enable or Disable New Request Notifications
New request notifications appear by default. To turn them off them, do the following:
In the system tray, right-click the Request Notification icon, and select Options. The Request Notification Settings dialog opens.
Clear the Enable new request notification check box.
Select OK. From now on, you aren't notified of new incoming requests.
To turn on the new request notifications, select the Enable new request notification check box in the Request Notification Settings dialog.
View New Requests
When new requests are received, the following indicators appear:
The Request Notification window appears in the lower right of the screen, indicating the number of pending requests. If you are in the Circulation dashboard, select the link to go to the Pending Requests list.
NOTE: The Request Notification window opens within one minute of receiving the new request. Contact your application administrator to modify this time interval.
The Request Notification icon opens disabled in the system tray when there are no new requests. When a new request is received, the Request Notification icon is turned on. Hover the cursor over the icon to display a message indicating the number of pending requests. Double-click the Request Notification icon to go to the Pending Requests list.
In the File Activities pane of the Circulation dashboard, Delivery Requests changes to Delivery Requests (Pending Items), and the icon changes from to .
Continue with Viewing Requested Items.
Set Criteria on New Requests
You can filter new requests by setting criteria. In this way, you're notified only when items that match the specified criteria are requested. We recommend this only if you've service specific types of requests.
To set criteria on new requests:
Right-click the Request Notification icon in the system tray, and select Options.
In the Notification Settings dialog, select Set Criteria. The Search Request dialog opens.
