iManage Drive supports Object Linking and Embedding (OLE). You can create OLE links between files that are downloaded to your mapped drive as well as files that are synced to iManage Drive but are not yet downloaded.
For example, you can browse to a master Microsoft Excel sheet in your mapped drive, which presents your company's annual financial report, and create OLE to the child spreadsheets within the same or other workspaces in your mapped drive.
NOTE:
Make sure the mapped drive has the same letter that is used for all users opening the OLE link document.
The application uses native Windows functionality to handle linked documents, and the parent and the linked document must be available locally. Existing OLE links that were created elsewhere (outside the mapped drive) do not show updated data after the linked files are moved to iManage Drive. You need to create OLE links again within your mapped drive.
