Select the icon in the upper-right corner of the menu bar, or press Command+Space. The Spotlight Search box is displayed. Enter iManage Uninstaller in the search box.
Alternatively, open a Finder window and select Applications > iManage.Double-click iManage Uninstall.
macOS displays a message asking you to permit the uninstaller to run in the background. Select Allow. An iManage Work message asking you to do the same is also displayed.
NOTE: To ensure that the above iManage Work permission prompt is displayed, you must turn on the System Settings > Notifications > iManage Uninstall > Allow notifications option.
If you select Don’t Allow or turn off the System Settings > General > Login Items > Allow in the Background > iManage Uninstall option, the following dialog is displayed when you try to run the uninstaller:
Select Open System Settings and then turn on iManage Uninstall.
Enter your system password when prompted and select Install Helper. The uninstallation begins.
On the message that informs about successful uninstallation, select OK.
The iManage Uninstall dialog is closed, the application is uninstalled and the application files, iManage Agent menulet, dock icon, and iManage Work option (in Microsoft Outlook) are removed from your system.
NOTE: If the Microsoft Outlook add-in was deployed using Microsoft 365 admin center, the iManage Work option is not removed from the Outlook toolbar even after the application is uninstalled.
(Optional) Select Cancel to stop the uninstallation at any point.
iManage Work Desktop for Mac reverts to its original state and continues to work as usual.
Silent uninstallation of the application
In the Terminal, run the following command to uninstall iManage Work Desktop for Mac:
sudo -u root "/Library/Application Support/iManage/Script/Uninstall"
The above command includes the path to the directory where the Uninstall.exe file is present.If prompted, enter the password for your Mac and press the Return key.
The application is uninstalled and the application files, iManage Agent menulet, dock icon, and iManage Work option (in Microsoft Outlook) are removed from your system.
NOTE: If the Microsoft Outlook add-in was deployed using Microsoft 365 admin center, the iManage Work option is not removed from the Outlook toolbar even after the application is uninstalled.
