NOTE:

To perform operations on this page, the user signed in to iManage Control Center must be a member of the NRTADMIN group.

This page enables you to manage configuration files for iManage Work Desktop for Windows. As an administrator, you can modify the configuration files and then upload them to iManage Work using Control Center. These configurations are deployed for all users in the organization enabling you to enforce centralized administration of configuration settings.

You can upload the configuration files under two categories:

  • Configuration: Use this option to upload configuration files for customizing the user experience in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Email Templates: Use this option to upload the Microsoft Outlook configuration file to customize the email template.

What do the configuration files contain?

The configuration files contain information such as server login information, email management settings, Microsoft Office integration options, and as well as Microsoft Office application specific operations depending on the user settings/preferences. For example, file operations like OpenSaveSave as and so on for Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and MS Project.

Access the Office settings page by navigating in Control Center to Work Clients > Office.

Configuration

On the Office page, select Configuration. The Configuration page appears.

This enables you to:

  • Upload configuration files using the Upload File option.
  • Replace configuration file using the Replace option.
  • Download individual configuration file using the Download option.
  • Delete single or multiple configuration files using the Delete option.

Uploading configuration files

  1. Select  + Upload File. The Upload Files dialog box appears.
  2. Select Choose Fileschoose files that you want to upload, and select Upload Files. The configuration files are uploaded to Configuration category.

    NOTE:

    Alternatively, you can drop the selected configuration files to upload.

Replacing a configuration file

Use this option to replace any configuration file. This option is available on the:

  • Ribbon bar: Select a configuration file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each configuration file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a configuration file to see this option.
  1. Use one of the preceding options and select Replace. The Replace File dialog box appears.
  2. Select Choose File. Choose the file you want to replace. The file gets replaced.

Downloading configuration files

Use this option to download any configuration file. This option is available on the

  • Ribbon bar: Select a configuration file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each configuration file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a configuration file to see this option.

Use one of the preceding options and select Download. The configuration file gets downloaded.

Deleting configuration files

Use this option to delete single or multiple configuration files.

Single file

This option is available on the:

  • Ribbon bar: Select a configuration file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each configuration file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a configuration file to see this option.

The following steps are explained using one of the above options:

Use one of the preceding options and select Delete. The confirmation message box appears. Confirm the action to continue or abort.

Multiple files

This option is available on the ribbon bar when you select the configuration files. Select Delete. The confirmation message box appears. Confirm the action to continue or abort.

Email Templates

Select Email Templates to display the Email Templates page. Here, you can:

  • Upload email templates using the Upload File option.
  • Replace a template using the Replace option.
  • Download individual template file using the Download option.
  • Delete single or multiple templates using the Delete option.

Uploading email templates (configuration files)

  1. Select  + Upload File. The Upload Files dialog box appears.
  2. Select Choose Files, choose files that you want to upload, and select Upload Files. The files are uploaded to Email Templates category.

Replacing email templates

Use this option to replace any email template file. This option is available on the:

  • Ribbon bar: Select a email template file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each email template file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a email template file to see this option.
  1. Use on of the preceding options and select ReplaceThe Replace File dialog box appears.
  2. Select Choose File. Choose the file you want to replace. The existing file gets replaced with the new one.

Downloading email templates

Use this option to download an email template file.This option is available on the:

  • Ribbon bar: Select a email template file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each email template file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a email template file to see this option.

Use one of the preceding options and select DownloadThe configuration file gets downloaded.

Deleting email templates

Use this option to delete single or multiple email template files.

Single email template

This option is available on the:

  • Ribbon bar: Select a email template file to see this option on the ribbon bar.
  • Kebab menu: The  icon adjacent to each email template file.
  • Context menu: Right-click a email template file to see this option.

Use one of the preceding options and select Delete. The email template file gets deleted.

Multiple email templates

This option is available on the ribbon bar when you select email template files. Select DeleteThe confirmation message box appears. Confirm the action to continue or abort.
