Captions are customized labels associated with each profile field available to all iManage Work clients.

iCC allows you to customize the names of the profile fields in an iManage database using captions. Changes to these names are reflected dynamically in the UI. Captions can also be defined per client application's locale settings for a language.

Captions can be set for:

All profile fields
Workspace names
All iManage elements found in the iManage tree (My Matters, Recent Searches, and so on)

Ability to Search Captions

Allows you to enter the caption to be searched.

Editing the Captions

Select Configure > System Setup > Captions. All profile fields appear.
Select a profile field for which you want to change the caption, and select the Edit.
In the Caption field, enter a name for the profile field and click Save.
The new captions appear on the form when the client is restarted.
