There are two ways to browse to the Preview page for a document.
In the search results pane, select the name of the document that you want to preview. The Preview page is displayed.

In the search results pane, select anywhere in the tile for the document that you want to preview. The Properties panel appears on the right side of the page.

Understanding how Preview works

Icons/links | Description |

Hit highlights: Shows the instances in the document where the search term/phrase occurs. These occurrences are highlighted in the preview document too, for easy viewing. | |
Up and down arrows: Let you move to the previous or next, respectively, search term or phrase reference. | |
Thumbnail view: Lets you view the pages… view the pages of the document as thumbnails to quickly move to the desired page. This is useful, especially when you understand the layout of a document. | |
Search field: Enter search text (term or phrase) to view instances of its occurrences in the document. | |
Version picker: Lets you preview specific versions of a document, if more than one version of it is saved in the repository. | |
Download: Saves a copy of the selected version in your local machine. | |
Copy Link: Copies the document URL and then shares it with the concerned person through any of the communication tools. | |
Open: Gives you two sub-options:

The Search results link on the preview page helps you return to the search results directly when previewing another version of a document without having to use the Back to Preview button.
