A map correlates the attributes from an LDAP server to those of the trustee object in the IRM server. Four default maps are included (one for each supported LDAP server type). The following table shows the default ADS map.

Although you may use a default map, you can also create new maps using IRM Server.

To add a new map:

  1. Expand the Realms Settings node and then the LDAP Setup node.

  2. Right-click the Maps node and select Add.

  3. In the Add LDAP Map dialog, in the Name field, enter a name for the new LDAP Map.

  4. From Type, select the type of LDAP server. After you select the type, the Attribute Mapping section displays the default values for the selected LDAP server type.

  5. In the Attribute field, enter an attribute name.

  6. Select the Records Manager field that has to be correlated to the LDAP attribute.

  7. Select Add to create the new association. The LDAP Attribute/Records Manager Field columns lists the new association.

  8. Select OK to save the new map.
