When an external LDAP directory service subtree is moved and Library Manager cannot locate the root node of the subtree, use the Edit Link option in the Directory menu to restore the link. Library Manager will attempt to reset the link automatically, but it may not be possible if the LDAP directory subtree is moved, or if the LDAP server is renamed, or a port has changed.

Library Manager may be able to locate the external LDAP directory service root node, but if the LDAP tree is large, it would be more efficient to define the new root node location manually. Library Manager synchronization will fail until the link is restored.

To edit an LDAP link:

  1. Expand the Realms Settings node and then select the LDAP Links node in Directory Frame.
The available connections are displayed in the right pane.

  2. Right-click the required LDAP link and select Edit Link.

  3. In the Edit LDAP Link dialog, make the necessary changes and select OK.
