To create a relationship type:
In Library Manager, expand the cluster, then the library, and then Metadata.
Under Metadata, right-click the Relationship Type node and select Add.
In the Add Metadata dialog, update the fields as specified in the following table.
NOTE: The entire content of the Add Metadata dialog corresponds to a single row in a metadata table.

IS_ELECTRONIC_RENDITION | If set to true, this relationship type supports electronic renditions—required for electronic rendition functionality to work. |
MODIFIED_TIME | Don't modify. |
NAME | Enter the name of this relationship type—for example, Superseded. |
IS_TARGET_SINGLE_MAPPING | If set to true, the record can be mapped only once as a target record for a specific record relationship type. |
METADATA_ID | Don't modify. This field represents an internal pointer to the table row. Library Manager will assign a value to this field after you select OK. |
SID | Don't modify. This field is a system-generated ID. |
TARGET_LABEL | Enter the name given to identify the relationship in the target record—for example, superseded. |
SOURCE_LABEL | Enter the name given to identify the relationship in the source record—for example, superseding. |
CREATED_TIME | Don't modify. |
IS_SINGLE_SOURCE_MAPPING | If set to true, the record can be mapped only once as a source record for a specific record relationship type. |
IS_ENABLED | This field controls whether the metadata can be assigned during data creation and updates, or if it's only preserved in existing data. |
UPDATE_RETENTION_DATE_f | Select the check box if you want to update the Retention Start Date of the Target-related item when a supersede relationship is created. |
Select OK.
