IRM serves as a records management system across multiple industries. Each industry is associated with and uses specific terminology and nomenclature.

IRM provides two sets of predefined configuration sets or object models that support industry-specific implementations of the application. They're the Generic and the Legal object models. Each configuration set or object model determines the terminology used in the application’s forms, reports, and captions.

This guide uses legal-specific terminology in the relevant forms, reports, and captions of the application. This model is most suited for the Legal and Accounting industry.
