Before beginning any operations on critical data, always make a full backup of the data. We recommend creating a non-production IRM installation first and using it to test and validate the process of loading your data files.

We recommend that you load a maximum of 100,000 items per XML file. It's also beneficial to load each element in the order shown in Typical Sequence of Loading Data. In many instances, legacy data is already stored in individual tables.
