The steps to modify a control have been discussed in this section using the Location report as an example.
NOTE: To modify a report, the data model must be in draft mode. For more information, refer to Working on a Draft.
To modify a control:
In the All Reports pane, select a report. The report appears in the Report Designer.
Select a control from the report—for example, a text box control.
The Properties pane is updated with information for the selected control. Only the properties that are available for modification are enabled.Make the required changes to the control from the Properties pane. For example, you can change the Font, Height, Name, Size, and Text properties.
The Clipboard, Format, Align, Distribute, and Arrange sections are also enabled and can be used for some frequently used layout and format functions like text alignment, control alignment, arrangements, distribution, font style, and size. When you select two or more controls in a report, the icons in the Align and distribute sections of the toolbar become enabled, and you can use the icons to align the selected controls in the required direction.
On the toolbar, select Save.
Performing a Save operation updates the draft data model on the Records Manager server. Records Manager clients won't be able to access these changes until you publish the draft data model. For more information, refer to Publishing Changes.
