Reports Designer lets you change or set the search form associated with a report. You may have created a custom search form and would like to associate this search form to an object so that you can run a report based on the result of this custom search form in the Records Manager client.
Reports Designer helps you associate your custom search form with an existing object. By default, Reports Designer provides you with the out-of-the box search form that's associated to each object. For example, the File Part object is associated with the Search File Part form and the Box object is associated with the Search Box form.
If you've created a custom search form for the Cutoff object in Forms Designer, then this custom search form is shown as an option in the Set Criteria dialog for the Cutoff Eligibility report in Reports Designer. You can now select or associate your custom search form for the Cutoff Eligibility report.
So, the next time you generate the Cutoff Eligibility report format in the Records Manager client using the New Report dialog, the associated custom search form gets displayed for the report when you select the Set Report Criteria button. For more information about how to use the New Report dialog, refer to IRM Desktop Client for Records Managers User Guide.
