The application can be configured to support the following check-in modes:

  • Container Check-in: Whenever you check-in a jacket, binder, or other container, all of its contents are automatically checked in. The application assumes that the container is intact, and that records haven't been removed.

  • Audited Check-in: In this mode, each item must be scanned to check it in individually. For example, a jacket and all of its inserts must be scanned. Otherwise, the item’s circulation status remains Out even though its container is marked as In.

  • Dynamic Audited Check-in: This is similar to the audited mode of check-in. Every item must be scanned, however, scanning must be completed in a certain order—container first, then all found sub-items. Dynamic Audited check-in doesn't allow moving an item from one matter to another.
