1. In the Record Activities pane, select File Part Search.

  2. Enter the search criteria in any of the available fields:
             

    • Select  and then select:

      • Client: The client to which the file part belongs.

      • Matter: The matter to which the file part belongs.

      • Media type: The media type of the file part, such as a jacket, insert, document, and so on.

      • Retention schedule: The retention schedule applied to the file part.

      • Record status: The current status of the file part.

      • Responsible attorney: The user who has control over this file part.

      • Office/Department: The location or group most responsible for the file part.

      • Home location: The location where this file part is stored when not in circulation.

      • Current location: The location where this file part is currently located.

      • Circulation status: Whether the file part is In, Out, or In Transit.

      • Created by: The user who created the file part.

      • Modified by: The user who last modified, checked in, or checked out the file part.

      • Text search: Enter any search terms. The application searches for file parts based on the name, description, or comments.

      • ID: Enter the ID which uniquely identifies the file part.

      • Retention start date: Select the date used to start the schedule. 

      • Open date: Select a date when the file part was created.

      • Close date: Select a date when the file part was closed.

      • Vital record: If the file part requires periodic review, select this check box. You need to specify a review cycle, which is effective from the Last Reviewed Date of the file part.

      • Circulation date: Specify when the file part was in circulation.

      • Checked-out to: Select the user who checked out the file part. 

      • Created date: Specify when the file part was created.

      • Modified date: Specify when the file part was last modified.

      • Label printed: The application remembers which file parts have their labels printed. To search for file parts whose labels are already printed, select the Label printed check box. Clear the check box to search only for new file part labels that are ready to print.

  3. Select OK.
