You can view the clients under the client group from the Client Group Details > Clients page. You can also add clients under the client group from this page. When you add clients to the client group, all the matters under the client are automatically added to the client group. After a client is included in a client group, client level settings are disabled. The details added at the client group level automatically apply to the clients.  Users excluded from access to a client are included in the client group excluded users list.

TIP:

You can also navigate to individual clients under a client group by selecting View Clients from the Name column of client groups on the clients dashboard. Alternatively, you can filter the client list by the client group name: this will also show all of the clients under that client group that match the filter.

  1. In the Clients dashboard, hover on the row of the client you want to select.
  2. Select . The Clients page with the list of clients under the client group are displayed.
  3. To add a client under the client group,
    1. Click Add Client to Group. The Add Clients to Group dialog box appears.
    2. Select the check boxes next to the clients you want to add, or click on the rows of the clients you want to add. Then, click OK. The clients are added under the client group.

      NOTE:

If the client group security policy is 'open', then only clients with 'open' security policy and are not part of any other client group, are displayed.

If the client group security policy is 'restricted', then clients that are not part of any other client group are displayed.

When you add a client under a group, the client group settings are applied to the client, by default.

When you add a client to a client group, the opposing team sets of the client oppose the client group as well.

When you add a client to a client group, then the client conflicted users and users working on opposing client teams are conflicted at the client group level as well and such users do not have access to the client group content.

When you add a client to a client group, then the users excluded at the client level are also excluded at the client group level and such users do not have access to the client group content.

  4. To remove a client from a client group,
    1. Select the check boxes next to the clients you want to remove, or click on the rows of the clients you want to remove. Then, click Remove Selected

Alternatively, in the row of the client to be removed, click  > Remove. The clients are removed from the client group. However, the clients continue to exist in SPM independently.

      NOTE:

The client assumes all the settings of the client group after removal. However, you can now update the client settings. See Updating a Client.
