As a User and Group Administrator or User and Group Manager (See Users and Roles), you can reset the passwords for users who are either locked out of their accounts, or those who have forgotten their passwords, or those whose passwords have expired from this interface.

The Reset Password button is disabled, by default, for all users except system generated users, namely, SPMAdmin and SPMAgent. This is because the preferred authentication method offered by iManage Security Manager is SAML. If you want to enable form based authentication (username and password) for any of your users, select the Enable Form Login check box. See Enabling Form Login.

  1. Click Users / Roles in the left navigation pane.
    The Users page with the list of users appears. The user list comprises the entire staff of the firm.
  2. Click on the row of the user whose password needs to be reset.
    The <User name> - Details page appears.
  3. Click Reset Password
    The Reset Password page appears.
  4. Based on the password requirements specified on the page, enter a new password in the New Password field.
  5. Re-enter the new password in the Confirm your New Password field.
  6. Click Submit
    The password is updated.
