Additional user and group data can be imported into iManage SPM.

This section describes how to perform these imports:

Importing timekeeper and assistant information

This section provides details about the configuration of the timekeeper association import—for example, from a practice management system.

  1. From the latest iManage SPM Cloud Service Update, download the iManage Security Policy Manager Cloud Import ZIP package.

  2. Extract the ZIP.

  3. Open the Import > Users and Groups > Timekeeper Assistant Association folder.
A sample script is provided in the Import\Scripts subfolder. This can be used as a reference to facilitate the import of timekeeper information. For more information about this script, refer to the README file in the Import folder.

    1. Review the settings in the iManage SPM Generic Migration.cfg file and adjust where necessary.

    2. Right click iManage SPM Generic Migration.exe and select Run as Administrator.

    3. Follow the instructions provided in the setup wizard.

The iManage SPM Scheduled Timekeeper Assistant Association Import task is added. This task can be adjusted as required. Information about how to do this is provided in the Task Scheduler settings section of  Verify data import

If you require metadata information from these users and groups to be imported, refer to Establishing scheduled import of other user and group metadata.

Establishing scheduled import of other user and group metadata

If you require additional user or group metadata to be imported—for example, email address or practice group, you must use SPM Generic Migration to stage data from your source repository and process XML load files into SPM.

For information about how to do this, refer to iManage SPM Generic Migration Guide.

NOTE: There are other actions to take if you want to import user and group metadata from other systems and also use document activity import. For more information, refer to Select data sources and import types.
