Changes in document version 10.4.2.0
The features in this release support a self-serve, need-to-know access model, providing you with workflow efficiencies that save time and effort.
You can now request the renewal of access to matters on which your access is time-limited. This is further facilitated by the new ability to view—and filter by—the expiration period of assets for which your access is time-limited.
For example, you can filter the My Security Policies page to show only matters with access expiring in the next 30 days, then use the new Renew Access feature to request a renewal of access for a specific, or unlimited period. As with all filters in iManage SPM, these are retained between sessions.
When you opt to renew access, you can specify the renewal period you require, whether that’s hours, days, or unlimited.
For more information about this feature, refer to Viewing assets and their access periods. In previous versions, requesting access to a matter on behalf of others was a multi-step process that included the need to navigate to the Access Requests page and manually enter the relevant client ID and matter ID. In this release, you can not only request access from the main My Security Policies page, but do so from directly from the matter row, without needing to look up or enter the corresponding IDs.
This feature can provide workflow efficiencies—for example, you can filter the list as required and then quickly select this option for each required matter presented in the list. Previous options for requesting access for others remain in place and are unaffected by this change.
For more information, refer to Viewing assets and their access periods and Requesting access to a matter.
Change in document version 10.3.4.1
Previously, the Request Access for Others option was only accessible through an ellipsis button.
In this release, this option is clearly visible on a new split button which displays both Request Access and Request Access for Others, respectively. In addition to providing better visibility of these options, this change also reduces overall click count and streamlines workflow.
Refer to Requesting access to a Matter.
Changes in document version 10.3.4
- The new Help button provides you with access to information that can help you make full use of iManage Security Policy Manager (SPM). For more information, refer to the Accessing the help subsection in Getting Started with iManage Security Policy Manager.
Changes in document version 10.3.1.3
You can now pin individual filters, at the page level, in iManage SPM user console. The filters that you pin are retained within the browser you are using, and between sessions, on a given device. This lets you retain specific, customized views of any pages, as required, and whether using the console in a single tab or across multiple tabs. For more information, refer to Understanding the interface section of Getting Started with iManage Security Policy Manager.
Changes in document version 10.2.4
- The SPM User Console now provides you with dashboards showing your outstanding acknowledgements, and (in some cases, if permitted) assets that you are excluded from. This helps you locate and manage acknowledgement requests, and understand your responsibilities with regards to exclusions such as conflicts of interest. For more information, see Manage pending acknowledgements, and Viewing and acknowledging Exclusions.
