Hotkeys are keyboard shortcuts that let you perform common iManage Work actions, such as searching, opening a document, or viewing versions. You can manage your own hotkeys in User Settings, and your assignments apply only to your account.
Hotkeys are grouped into three categories:
Global: Shortcuts that work anywhere in the application, such as Search, Navigate to Folders, and Open Trash.
Documents, folders & workspaces: Shortcuts for actions that apply to documents, folders, and workspaces, such as Toggle Properties and View security.
Documents: Shortcuts for document-specific actions, such as Edit document, View versions, and Download.
Open the hotkey settings
To open the hotkey settings:
In the top navigation bar, select the settings (gear) icon.
In User Settings, select Hotkeys.
NOTE: You can also open the hotkey settings at any time by pressing Ctrl+K (Windows) or Cmd+K (Mac). This shortcut is reserved—it always opens the hotkey settings and can't be reassigned, removed, or added from the Hotkeys page.
The Hotkeys page lists your current shortcuts under the three categories. The key or key combination to the right of each action shows its assigned hotkey—for example, a single key such as F, or a combination such as Shift+D.
Assign a hotkey
You can assign a hotkey to any action that doesn’t already have one:
Open the hotkey settings.
Select + Add hotkey Under the category that contains the action—Global; Documents, folders & workspaces; or Documents.
From the list of actions, select the action you want to assign.
NOTE: The Documents list contains many actions and is scrollable. To find an action quickly, type its name in the Find box.
In the dialog that opens, press the key or key combination you want to assign. Recording starts automatically—you don't need to select the field first.
Select Save to confirm the new hotkey. To discard it instead, select Cancel.
Edit a hotkey
To change the key combination assigned to an action:
Select the pencil icon next to the hotkey you want to change.
Select the x to remove the currently assigned keys. Each x removes a single key, so select it once for each key in the current hotkey—for example, three times for a three-key combination such as CTRL+SHIFT+C.
Press the new key or key combination.
Select Save to confirm the change.
Unassign a hotkey
To unassign a hotkey, select the x next to the hotkey in the list. A single selection clears the entire assignment, no matter how many keys it contains, and the hotkey is removed immediately—no confirmation dialog appears.
Reset custom hotkeys to default
You can use the Restore to defaults option to reset any customized shortcuts to their defaults. Using this option removes all customization and restores the default hotkeys. This action cannot be undone.
