In Configuration > Settings > Language Packs, users with the Configuration Manager role can update the default language pack of the iManage Threat Manager application to reflect the terminology of your organization. Customizable terminology includes that of application interface elements and notifications. This functionality is independent of the custom property captions (for example, Custom1, Custom2, Custom29, and Description) from iManage Work into iManage Threat Manager.

In this section:

Language packs

The following tasks let you customize the default language pack or revert to it if needed.

Additional customization support

If your firm has customized Comments and AppName fields for DocHistory entries in iManage Work (by localizing iManage Work), this will affect the mapping of certain activities to iManage Threat Manager. To ensure that ‌activities map correctly to iManage Threat Manager, you need to perform additional configuration.

NOTE: Application Name column in User Documents Activity export

The User Documents Activity export generated through Compliance > Activity Report includes an Application Name column that shows the readable host application or integration used to perform the action (for example, Word, Outlook, API). Newly logged activity displays the readable application name, while older or unmapped rows may show a legacy internal (numeric) ID.

This field is distinct from the DocHistory AppName values (for example, client applications such as Work for iOS) that may be customized through language-pack mappings.

Task: Configure additional customization

You need the Configuration Manager role to complete this task.

  1. Add the relevant key-value pairs to your JSON language pack, following the editing and saving processes described in Task: Customize the default terminology of the iManage Threat Manager. For example:

"ingestion": {
    "EXPORT_TO_IMANAGE_SHARE_COMMENTS": ["Copied document to iManage Share Secure Sent Links folder","Copied document to iManage Share folder"],
    "EXPORT_TO_MOBILE_APPLICATION_NAMES": ["Work for iOS"],
    "DOC_TYPE_XML": "XML",
    "DOC_CLASS_WEBDOC": "WEBDOC"
  }
  1. Open the docker-compose_v10.yaml file with a suitable editing program.

  2. Under analytics-dataimporter in the environment: subsection, add the following parameter:
    DATAIMPORTER_LANGUAGEPACKPATH=<path to language pack JSON>
    where <path to language pack JSON> is the path to the target JSON language pack, for example: /analytics-state/content/language_packs/de-DE_custom.json.

  3. Save the docker-compose_v10.yaml file.

  4. Restart the Docker stack to apply the changes. (For information about how to do this, refer to (On-premises) Task: Stop and restart the Docker stack to apply new settings of Advanced configuration.)
