iManage Work for Outlook requires browser storage access to authenticate with cloudimanage.com. Browsers have privacy features that protect your data, but they can prevent add-ins from storing the authentication information needed to keep you signed in to iManage Work for Outlook. When the add-in prompts you to grant storage access, you're allowing it to store the necessary sign-in credentials and settings in your browser. This doesn't compromise your security—it enables the add-in to function properly.

NOTE: This storage access requirement applies only if you're using Outlook on the Web (OWA) and have disabled third-party cookies in your browser settings.

Requirements

You'll be asked to grant storage access when the following requirements are met:

  • You’re using Outlook on the Web (OWA) and have third-party cookies disabled.

  • You’ve previously signed into cloudimanage.com as a top-level site in a full browser tab and interacted with it. For example, https://im.cloudimanage.com in your browser’s history.

Steps to allow access to storage

Follow the steps to grant access to storage to complete the initial iManage Work for Outlook sign-in process.

  1. In OWA, after you sign in to iManage Work task pane, select Grant storage access.

  2. In the resulting dialog, verify the cloud server address and select Allow.

  3. If you receive an error message, follow the instructions in the message, and return to the iManage Work for Outlook page, reload the page, and repeat from Step 2 above.

  4. When successfully authenticated, return to Sign in to iManage Work and Microsoft to complete the sign-in process.
