Previously, iManage Work Desktop for Windows supported proxy servers, but didn't support authenticated proxy servers.

From version 10.9.0 onwards, if you are using an authenticated proxy server and connect to iManage Work Server, iManage Work Desktop for Windows can authenticate to the proxy server using the current user's Windows credentials.

The following registry setting can be used to disable authentication with the configured proxy server, if necessary.

  • Location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\iManage\Work\10.0\Client

  • Name: UseDefaultCredentialsForAuthenticatedProxy

  • Type: REG_DWORD

  • Value:

    • 0: Doesn't allow iManage Work Desktop for Windows to connect to cloudimanage.com endpoints with proxy servers enabled.

    • 1: Allows iManage Work Desktop for Windows to connect to cloudimanage.com endpoints with proxy server enabled (default).

NOTE:

  • Auto Updates aren't supported when you have configured an authenticated proxy on your user's machine

  • With an authenticated proxy server enabled, users can't co-author a document using iManage Work Desktop for Windows.

  • iManage Work Desktop for Windows is verified to work with Bluecoat authenticated proxy server.
