Requirements and compatibility
This section describes the system requirements, supported platforms, and software dependencies for iManage Work 10 Desktop for Windows version 10.7.0. Supported Microsoft Office applications |
Microsoft Office 2021, 2019, 2016, and 2013 (x86 and x64) NOTE: The supported versions for MS Project and Visio are 2013 and later. Microsoft Office must be installed in a per-machine context. Installing the iManage Office and Microsoft Outlook integration for Microsoft Office, which was installed in a per-user context, is not supported. iManage strongly recommends using x64 Microsoft Office versions for improved performance, inline with the recommendation from Microsoft. |
Supported Adobe Acrobat applications |
From version 10.7.0 onwards, Adobe Acrobat applications are supported in both integrated mode and non-integrated mode. For more information about this feature, refer to the Working with Adobe Acrobat applications in non-integrated mode section in iManage Work Desktop for Windows Help. NOTE: If using Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Acrobat DC Pro and Standard with iManage Work Desktop for Windows in integrated mode, ensure Enable Protected Mode at startup (Preview) option is unselected and Protected View is set to Off under Edit > Preferences > Security (Enhanced)). |

The port range 17870 to 17890 must be open.
Microsoft Windows firewall may block the iManage Work Agent system tray application unless you have a policy set up to allow access. This will interfere with some actions available in iManage Work Web Server (the web application).Client-side Work Communication Services (WCS), client-side Send and File, Mapped folders, and Inbox filer functionalities require Microsoft Exchange Server to work.
Configuring Gmail with Microsoft Outlook is not a supported configuration when working with emails in iManage. Gmail users must use the iManage Gmail Chrome Extension, which is designed specifically for email management with Gmail instead of Outlook for all iManage Work Email Management capabilities.
Compatible only with SMIME email formats as described in the following note.
Microsoft Edge WebView2 browser control is not compatible with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 with Azure conditional access policy enabled. Azure Conditional Access policies on Microsoft Windows Server 2016 are currently supported only with Internet Explorer (IE) that Microsoft no longer supports . Hence, if the Conditional Access Policies are enabled or enforced, iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.5.0 and later will not work on a multi-user environment like Citrix with the desktop operating system running on Microsoft Windows Server 2016.
iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.5.0 and later works with the following Device Compliant and Hybrid Azure Join policies:require multi-factor authentication
require device to be marked as compliant
require Hybrid Azure AD joined device

iManage Work Desktop for Windows does not support auto-mapping. If users file an email from a shared mailbox that is added through auto-mapping, filing fails. We recommend that users disable auto-mapping, where applicable. Prerequisites
Uninstall the following iManage Work Add-ons: iManage OffSite, iManage DealBinder, iManage Share, and Workflow Manager.
Uninstall any versions of iManage DeskSite and iManage FileSite that were not installed with iManage Work Desktop for Windows in compatibility mode, or in classic clients with Work 10 Email Management mode.
If iManage FileSite was installed previously in a non-compatibility mode, check that it is removed as an add-on in your data files from your mail account in Control Panel.If a previous version of iManage Work Desktop for Windows is installed with or without iManage DeskSite or iManage FileSite in compatibility mode, or in classic clients with Work 10 Email Management mode, no uninstall is required.
Ensure an equivalent iManage Agent Services is installed before installing iManage Work Desktop for Windows. For example, install iManage Agent Services 10.7.0 before installing iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.7.0.
If iManage Agent Services 10.7.0 is unavailable when users try a manual or silent install of the iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.7.0 in standalone mode or iManage DeskSite 9.3.7/iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later in Compatibility / Work 10 Email Management mode, the " iManage Agent Services 10.7.0 is required to install iManage Work Desktop for Windows. " message is displayed.
iManage Auto Update Manager always installs iManage Agent Services during all installations and for all users including those in remote desktop session host environments. Additionally, to prevent users from installing the application without it during manual installation, the installer checks for the presence of Agent Services. If iManage Agent Services is unavailable when users try installing iManage Work Desktop for Windows in standalone mode, or along with iManage DeskSite or iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later in Compatibility, or in Work 10 Email Management mode, a message is displayed informing users that iManage Agent Services is required to install the application.

Microsoft Edge WebView2 runtime
Requirements for iManage DeskSite/FileSite 9.3.7 or later in compatibility mode
In addition to the requirements aforementioned for iManage Work Desktop for Windows, the following are required for DeskSite/iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later in compatibility mode.
All required software and prerequisites must be installed.
iManage DeskSite/iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later must be installed in compatibility mode without Email Management.
Users must use the same credentials for both classic and Work 10 clients.
Requirements for classic clients with Work 10 Email Management (EM)
In addition to the requirements aforementioned for iManage Work Desktop for Windows, the following are required for installing DeskSite/iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later with Work 10 Email Management.
All required software and prerequisites must be installed.
iManage DeskSite/iManage FileSite 9.3.7 or later must be installed in Work 10 Email Management mode without classic Email Management.
Users must use the same credentials for both classic and Work 10 clients.
