Use the iManage Work search box to search for emails, documents, matters, and clients to quickly locate the desired iManage Work item. To perform a search, click inside the search field, select the type of item you want to search for, apply the desired search strings, and select   to view the results. Select  to clear the search criteria and start again.

If you have selected any of the six languages supported by iManage Work for the search text using the Set language list in the iManage Work panel or an iManage dialog box, your language selection will persist across all iManage Work clients and subsequent searches, until you change the selection.

NOTE:

  • The search feature is responsive to your personal preferences when performing searches. When you select All or Personalized in the results of a simple search, this remains selected in subsequent searches within the iManage Work panel and in the iManage File Open and Save dialog boxes in Microsoft Office.
  • The search feature takes full advantage of iManage Work's multiple language capabilities. You can search for your content in any of the six languages supported by iManage Work (English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese), independent of the UI language setting. In the Select Filing Location and Browse and File dialog boxes, select and select a language from the list. In the iManage Work panel in Microsoft Outlook, click inside the search box for the MattersDocuments, or Emails tab, select and then select a language from the list. This directs the tool to search for foreign root words, or stems, when searching for content. For example, if you select French and search for "Contract", you would also hit on such terms as Contracté, Contractée, Contracter, Contractes, and so on. Your language selection will persist across all iManage Work clients and subsequent searches, until you change the selection.
