The Compare Documents option helps you to compare the currently open document with a document in an iManage Work library.

NOTE:

  • You can also compare a local document with a document saved to iManage Work. Before comparing a local document, make sure that you open and close the document so that is available for comparison. 
  • This option is available for Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word only.
  1. On the iManage tab, select Compare, and select Compare in the list.
    The Compare iManage Documents dialog box appears. 
  2. Select the Original document and Revised document you want to compare.
  3. Select the Comparison settings. The check boxes help you to select the exact parameters for comparison, which include:
    • Insertions and deletions (always checked by default)
    • Moves
    • Comments
    • Formatting
    • Case changes
    • White Space
    • Tables
    • Headers and footers
    • Footnotes and endnotes
    • Textboxes
    • Fields
  4. Select whether the changes should be shown at the Character level or the Word level.
  5. Select whether the changes should be shown at the Original document, the Revised document, or in a New document.
  6. Select OK. The compare results are displayed.
