In addition to the email client on your Mac, you can reply to and forward filed emails from within iManage Work using the ReplyForward, and Reply All options available in the context menu and the Preview page for an email. A window appears in the email client you configured using the Preferences > Email Client Configuration option in iManage Work for Mac.

NOTE:

  • This feature is available only for iManage Work web client 10.2.6.57 onwards.
  • This feature is also available when accessing emails from the iManage Work view in the panel in the classic view in Microsoft Outlook. Select Show Work Panel in the iManage Work panel to access the view and then select Reply, Reply All, or Forward. From iManage Work Desktop for Mac 10.5.1 onwards, these options are supported for New Outlook too.
  • To reply to or forward the emails using Gmail, select the Open  option from the email Preview.
  • If you select the Reply, Reply All, or Forward option for emails filed from Windows machines that are in .msg format, the iManage Work email dialog box appears (refer to the following figure) instead of a window in the configured email client. Unlike when using your email client in case of .eml emails, your email address is not available when you use this dialog box.
  1. Navigate to the desired folder and select an email.
  2. From the kebab menu, select ReplyReply All, or Forward
    A window appears in the email client you configured using the Preferences > Email Client Configuration option in iManage Work for Mac.
  3. Complete the Reply or Forward action and select Send. The email appears in the sent items folder of your email client.

If the configured email client is not available on the Mac, an iManage Work dialog box opens and can be used to reply to or forward the emails. iManage Work Desktop for Mac supports this feature only for emails in the .eml emails (including emails filed from Gmail).
