When documents are downloaded, they are directly compressed and encrypted as they stream in. However, when documents are viewed, they are decrypted. When the viewer is closed, the decrypted copy is deleted. Also, any time documents are shared through Open In, AirDrop and so on, they are decrypted, shared, and then the decrypted copy is deleted. The same applies to emails in iManage Work Mobility for iOS. Emails are compressed and encrypted each time you sync your mobile device with the iManage Work Server.
With iManage Work Mobility for iOS, your documents are further secured by the app passcode when stored on the mobile device.
NOTE:
The documents are first decrypted using the app passcode, and then passed to iOS for the final decryption.
