When you are finished with the document, you can either close it or select Enable Editing from the Microsoft Office ribbon bar to check the document out from iManage Work and edit it.
NOTE:
- Opening MS Office documents in read-only mode is available only if you have installed iManage Work Desktop for Windows client.
- Opening an MS Office document in read-only mode does not checkout or lock the document.
- If the Open Read-only menu item is unavailable in the Documents and Versions context menus due to earlier configuration in iManage Control Center, administrators can use the Context Menus Customization feature in iManage Control Center (Web Client > Context Menus > Documents) to make this new option available to their users.
This feature is available in the following views:
- iManage Work Web in desktop view.
