Advanced Search is a fielded search that lets you search using specific enriched metadata properties as criteria, rather than scanning document content for keyword matches like Basic Search does. This lets you search directly by property value (for example, finding all documents with a specific Agreement Date or Governing Law value) instead of relying on that value also appearing in the document’s text.
The following enriched metadata properties can be used as criteria in Advanced Search:
Category
Single-value field assigned during classification as Agreement, Court Document, or Undetermined. Although you can search using multiple Category values, only one value is assigned by the system. Category values aren't hierarchical.
Agreement Date
Parties
Governing Law
Jurisdiction
Taxonomy field with values that can be nested up to four levels deep.
Heading
Administrative enrichment properties
The following administrative properties can also be searched in Advanced Search, if enabled by your administrator.
Enrichment Date
Enrichment Status Code
Enrichment Version
NOTE: The Enrichment Disabled property isn't searchable.
If you search using only metadata criteria, without a keyword, Advanced Search returns all matching versions of a document. If you include a keyword, results are limited to the 20 most recent versions of each document. For a keyword-only search with no metadata criteria, refer to Basic Search and enriched metadata.
