The two audit controls available in IRM are:

  • Content Actions: Actions performed on or with an item or object can be traced. These controls let you specify the actions and items to trace. IRM Desktop Client for Records Managers shows the actions taken on or with the item. These actions include creating, moving, deleting, and asking to check-in file parts, boxes, and other items.

  • System Actions: System-related activities can also be traced. These controls let you specify which system-related activities should be traced. Information for all ‌specified system-related activities or actions performed is made available in the form of audit trails in IRM Desktop Client for Records Managers—for example, information about sign-in, checkin, checkout, transfer, bulk-update, and so on.
