NOTE: To configure IRM Server to use the method of standard matching used in the 5.0 release (matching both Practice Area and Area of Law), enter UNDEFINED in the Value field in Step 3.

This configuration lets you define which property should be used to match the default standard.

  1. Expand the library and select System Configurations.
    The list of configurations is displayed on the right.

  2. Right-click the Metadata property used for standards matching configuration and select Edit.

  3. In the Edit System Configuration dialog, in the Value field, enter the new pair of properties.

    The first property listed is the matter property. The second property is the property from the standard. The two properties must be separated by a comma, and entered using the server-based property name, as shown below:

    BASE::PRACTICE_AREA_RSID,BASE::PRACTICE_AREA_RSID

  4. The default setting maps the Functional Area property used by both the Matter object, and the Standard Object.

  5. Select OK to save your changes.

These properties are visible in Application Designer, in the CMS Property Name value in Edit Components views.
For more information about the Application Designer application, refer to iManage Records Manager Application Designer User Guide.

NOTE: Validated metadata properties must have the _RSID string appended to the end of the property name. For example, BASE::PRACTICE_AREA as shown in Application Designer must be entered as BASE::PRACTICE_AREA_RSID. To determine if a property is a metadata property, examine the Type column.
