Areas of law can be deleted only if no matters which use the specific type exist.

To delete an area of law:

1. In Library Manager, expand the cluster, then the library, and then Metadata.

2. Under Metadata, select Areas of Law.
   The individual areas of law are displayed in the right pane of Library Manager.

3. Right-click the area of law you want to delete and select Delete.
