Opening the Forms
In Application Designer Navigation Pane, select Forms.
In the All Forms pane, expand the Matter object.
Select the New Matter form. It opens in Forms Designer.
The properties for this form are listed in the Properties pane.Resize the form to fit the required extended metadata properties.
Adding Fiscal_Year
In the Controls pane, select the Windows Forms.
Locate the NumericUpDown control and drag it into the form displayed in the designer pane.
In the Properties pane, locate the iManage RM section at the top of the pane.
In the Profile field, select the
FiscalYearproperty from the Assign a schema value dialog.The Role property, by default, should be set to Value.
Locate the Label control and drag it into the form, above the NumericUpDown control.
In the Text property field, enter the text for this label (for example, Fiscal Year:).
In the Forms tab, select Save.
Adding Primary_Practice
In the Controls pane, select Records Manager Controls.
Locate the Criteria Picker control and drag it into the form displayed in the designer pane.
In the Properties pane, locate the iManage RM section at the top of the pane.
In the Profile field, select the
Primarypracticemetadata property from the Assign a schema value dialog.In the Relationship field, select the registered relationship.
The Required field is set to true as
Primary_Practicewas set as a required field in phase 3.The Role property, by default, should be set to Value.
In the CriteriaType property, select Metadata as this extended property isn't one of the predefined types.
In the FieldType property, select Integer. This option must be chosen for criteria pickers, because items are selected by the system ID (SID), which is an integer value.
In the IsRequired properties group, set the DoRequiredValidation property to True.
Locate the Label control and drag it into the form, above the picker control.
In the Text property field, enter the text for this label (for example, Primary Practice:).
In the Forms tab, select Save.
Adding Sub_Practice
In the Controls pane, select the Records Manager Controls.
Locate the Criteria Picker control and drag it into the form displayed in the designer pane.
In the Properties pane, locate the iManage RM section at the top of the pane.
In the Profile field, select the
Subpracticemetadata property from the Assign a schema value dialog.In the Display Format field, select the Browse icon.
In the Display Format dialog, select the Sub Practice property and then choose Select.
Select OK. The selected property is displayed in the Properties pane for the Display Format field.
The Relationship property needs to be set for only the parent property and not the child property. So, this value need not be set for Sub_Practice.The Role property, by default, should be set to Value.

Adding Managing Partner

Locate the Criteria Picker control and drag it into the form displayed in the designer pane.
In the Properties pane, locate the WorkSite section at the top of the pane.
In the Profile field, select the Managing Partner metadata property in the Assign a schema value dialog and then select OK.
The selected property is displayed in the Properties pane for the Display Format field.The Role property, by default, should be set to Value.
In the CriteriaType property, select User.
In the FieldType property, select Integer. This option must be chosen for criteria pickers, because items are selected by the system ID (SID), which is an integer value.

In the Text property field, enter the text for this label (for example, Managing Partner:).
