In most cases, the customizations that you make to the New Matter form should be duplicated in the Edit Matter form. The two forms share most of the same controls and the controls are positioned at the same locations for ease of use.

In this section, you'll select the controls that you added in the New File Part form, and paste them into the Edit File Part form.

  1. Before closing the New Matter form, select all of the controls that you’ve added. To select multiple controls, hold down the CTRL key while selecting each control.

  2. On the toolbar Clipboard section, select Copy.

  3. Select the Edit Matter form to display it in Forms Designer.

  4. On the toolbar Clipboard section, select Paste. The controls are pasted at the same location in this form. Resize or reposition any of the existing controls to match the layout of the New Matter form.

  5. On the toolbar, select Save.

NOTE: You can copy controls from one form to another. All of the properties of the control, such as the position, text, or iManage RM profile, are copied along with the control.

Some controls may have events tied to them. These events don't get copied, and so, such controls will have to be added again in the required forms.
