To insert a group header in a report, the data model must be in draft mode. For more information, refer to Working on a Draft.
In the All Reports pane, expand the required component node.
Right-click the report that needs to be modified, and from the available menu options, select Insert Groups.
A group header and footer is added to the report loaded in Report Designer.
After adding a group header, you should associate that group header with a grouping or property. For more information about how to add a grouping or property to a group header, refer to Modifying the Grouping Parameters. Grouping used in combination with group headers in the report design helps you to design a report that displays information in a grouped manner.
For example, add a group header and then add the Status Name grouping or the Record property to the group header. When the report is generated, all the File Parts with the Active records status name are displayed under the Record Status Active header. When the record status value changes, the header also changes. Therefore, all file parts with the Destroy record status name are displayed under the Record Status Destroy header.
