In this phase, you’ll learn how to add values to the metadata tables (Primary_Practice, Sub_Practice, Fiscal_Year) and relationship (Primary_Sub_Practice) using Library Manager.

  1. Select the Start menu, point to Programs > iManage, and then select Library Manager.

  2. Expand the Metadata node. The extended tables are displayed in the list.

  3. Add values for each of the extended metadata tables (Primary_Practice and Sub_Practice).

  4. Use the values from the following table for the Primary_Practice_Name and Sub_Practice_Name properties.

  1. Select the Primary_Practice metadata table, right-click and then select Add.

  2. In the Add Metadata dialog, enter a name for Primary_Practice (refer to the above table).

  3. Repeat the process until you've added the required number of Primary Practice Names.

  4. Add values for the Sub_Practice metadata table (refer to the above table).

  5. Under Metadata Relationships, right-click the Primary_Sub_Practice metadata relationship and select Add. The Add Metadata Relationship dialog displays the first column of each metadata table in the metadata relationship.

  6. Double-click the first row. The Select Metadata dialog displays all the available rows from the first column in the metadata table.

  7. Select a row and then select OK. The Add Metadata Relationship dialog is updated.

  8. Continue defining valid metadata relationship instances by double-clicking each row and selecting an entry from the associated metadata table.

  9. After all rows in the Add Metadata Relationship dialog are assigned a value, select OK. The Library Manager displays the new metadata relationship instance.

NOTE: Library Manager won't accept a metadata relationship instance unless a row is selected from each metadata table within the relationship.
