You may want some or all of the extended properties to be displayed in a report. When this report is generated from the Reports Manager client application, these values are displayed in the report output.

In this phase, you'll learn how to add the Primary_Practice and Managing_Partner properties to the Client/Matter Summary Report.

Opening the Report

  1. In Application Designer Navigation Pane, select Reports.

  2. In the All Reports pane, expand the Files node.

  3. Select Client/Matter Summary Report. The report opens in the Reports Designer.

Adding Primary_Practice

  1. Rearrange and resize the controls that are already in the report to accommodate the new controls that'll be added.

  2. In the Controls pane, locate and select the TextBox control.

  3. Drag the control into the open report in Reports Designer.

  4. In the Properties pane for the Schema Name field, select the Browse icon.

  5. In the Assign a Schema Value dialog, locate and expand the Primary Practice node.

  6. Select the Primary Practice Name property and then select OK.

  7. Locate the Label control and drag it into the report, in the group header section above the TextBox control.

  8. In the Text property field, enter the text for this label—for example, Primary Practice Name.

  9. On the Reports tab, select Save.

Adding Managing_Partner

CAUTION: If you delete any control from a report, ensure that all references to that control are removed from the script. For example, if you manually remove the Record Status control from File Plan Summary report, you should open the Script tab and remove all the reference to recordstatus. 

  1. Rearrange and resize the controls that are already in the report to accommodate the new controls that'll be added.

  2. In the Controls pane, locate and select the TextBox control.

  3. Drag the control into the open report in the Report Designer.

  4. In the Properties pane for the Schema Name field, select the Browse  icon.

  5. In the Assign a Schema Value dialog, locate and expand the Managing Partner node.

  6. Select the RDN property and then select OK.

  7. Locate the Label control and drag it into the report, in the group header section above the TextBox control.

  8. In the Text property field, enter the text for this label—for example, Managing Partner.

  9. On the Reports tab, select Save.

  10. Publish the changes to the server.

  11. On the Reports tab, select Publish.
