In Application Designer, select Configuration.
In the Configuration pane, select the Edit Components node.
On the System Components tab, select a component and then select Properties. All Properties and Property Relations for the selected component are displayed in the work area.
For example, select the component Box and then select Properties. All the defined properties and property relations for the component Box are displayed in the work area.On the Property tab, details of each property of the Box component, such as Name, CMS Property Name, Type, Caption and Required, and Display Format and Date Only are displayed. Select the Required check box for the property that should be set as required.
Select Close. This saves the changes to the draft data model on the Records Manager server.
NOTES:
Display Format is an optional setting for properties that are references to other data, like users or locations. It can be used to override the default data displayed for a property. Enclose CMS Property Name values in curly braces to display specific values for this property. For example, to change a property that refers to a location so that it displays both the ID and Name of the location, set its Display Format to {BASE::LOCATION_ID} {BASE::NAME}.
Date Only is an optional setting for date type properties. Use it to declare that this property should include date values only, not specific times within a day. This will tell the Records Manager desktop clients that they should display only the date component of this property and that it shouldn't be converted to their local time zone.
NOTE: A sample scenario, describing all the phases involved in customizing, is included in Sample Scenario. For more information about setting custom properties as required, and registering custom relationships in the sample scenario, refer to Phase 3 - Application Designer Edit Components.
