After assigning retention schedules to electronic records, you can perform actions defined by individual retention events. Each retention event includes iManage Work-specific instructions on handling the event. For example, destruction events require a subsequent deletion of that item in iManage Work.

Declare All Versions

Declares all versions of every document contained within the workspace or folder. Document versions that were previously declared are left as is.

Declare Latest Version

Declares the last ordinal version of every document contained within the workspace or folder. If the last version was previously declared, it is left as is.

Declare Latest Version and then destroy Undeclared Versions

Declares the last ordinal version of every document contained within the workspace or folder; destroys/deletes undeclared versions.

Destroy All Undeclared Versions

iManage Work workspaces and folders

Destroys/deletes all versions that are not yet declared within the workspace or folder.

Final Disposition

Destroy

iManage Work workspaces, folders, and records

Destroys/deletes the selected item.

Notes:

  • Even undeclared documents within the selected workspace or folder are destroyed.

  • Workspaces or folders are not eligible for destruction unless all the undeclared documents and records within them is previously destroyed/deleted.
