Collection holds business rules

  • Matters with existing holds, when added to a collection, retain their existing holds.
  • Matters added to a collection inherit the collection hold.
    • If such a matter is removed from the collection, the collection-level hold is not retained on the matter.
  • Matter-level holds are not applied to the collection, and therefore are not shown in the count of collection holds.
