When you connect Threat Manager to iManage Work Server, important security changes take effect. This page explains what to expect for your Local Administrator Account and how to maintain system access if Work Server becomes unavailable.
After Work Server connection is established
The Local Administrator Account used to set up Threat Manager has restricted access to the Configuration section. The Local Admin Account cannot access:
General tab: Default Date Range, Score Settings
Exclusions tab: Import Global Exclusions List, Export Global Exclusions List
This restriction is by design to ensure that, after initial setup and configuration, the Local Admin Account is locked out of privileged information in the Threat Manager application.
If Work Server becomes inaccessible
If iManage Work Server becomes inaccessible or its address has changed, you can still sign in to the Threat Manager appliance using the Local Administrator Account (admin) to update the Work Server IP address or hostname. This allows you to restore connectivity without losing access to your Threat Manager system.
