This section describes how to configure iManage Work Server integration for on-premises iManage Threat Manager to enable authentication using Work Server credentials. It includes procedures for connecting single and multiple deployments, security considerations, troubleshooting, and managing the Work Server connection.
iManage Threat Manager uses a Work Server Common Login Dialog to authenticate users. This supports the following authentication methods:
SAML sign-in: Uses a SAML token from an identity provider such as Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Ping Identity, and others. ADFS sign-in is authenticated using Active Directory credentials.
Network sign-in: Uses an LDAP user name and password.
These authentication methods must be configured on the Work Server. For configuration details, refer to iManage Work Server Installation Guide.
When configured on the Work Server, these authentication methods are made available for iManage Threat Manager sign-in by completing the procedures in this section.
This connection is required for authentication. After the connection is established:
Users with the NRTAdmin role in iManage Work are automatically granted the Role Manager and Configuration Manager privileges in iManage Threat Manager.
These users can sign in using their iManage Work credentials (ADFS/LDAP/SAML) and assign roles to other users.
Users who are assigned roles in iManage Threat Manager can sign in using their iManage Work credentials. For more information, refer to Configuration > Roles.
