• How do I control whether a Demo connection is displayed in the list of servers on the Sign In screen?
Demo connection enables users to connect to a public iManage demo server (Demo appears on the Sign In screen), which can be used to test iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti before it is deployed in your environment. By default this is enabled.
    To disable this setting:
    • In the Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (formerly MobileIron Core) admin portal, set the key-value pair for show_demo_connectionto false. For more information, refer to App policy configurations.
    • In the Ivanti Neurons for MDM (fomerly MobileIron Cloud) admin portal, select Apps > Manage Work 10 for Ivanti > App Configurations > Apple Managed App Configuration. If needed, select Add to create a new Apple Managed App Configuration. Otherwise select the existing configuration that you wish to edit.

  • Why are users being prompted for the Domain name during sign in?
When users try signing into iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti through a Network Login, they are prompted to re-authenticate. Only the user ID is populated in the Username field. You must specify the
domain information during the initial sign in, which is automatically preserved along with the User ID.

  • How can users switch to a different iManage Work system without signing out of iManage Work Mobility?
    1. With the app open, tap the navigation menu at the top of the screen, and select to display the list of other iManage Work systems available.

    2. Select the iManage Work system that you want to switch to from the list.

    3. Select Sign In, and enter the sign in credentials.

  • When a user signs out (Settings > Sign Out), why does the app appear to crash?
When a user signs out of iManage Work, the app closes in order to delete all locally saved documents and emails. This is by design to ensure that no sensitive information is left on the device after the user signs out.

  • Can users edit documents when their mobile device is offline or in the Airplane mode?
When you preview an iManage Work document, a copy of the document is downloaded to your mobile device. You can view and edit the contents of the local copies even when your mobile device is offline or in the Airplane mode. Be sure to sync any changes made to the document to iManage Work when you are back online.
  • What happens to the locally stored document copies when the enable_downloading is set to false?
If the enable_downloading is set to false, the locally stored encrypted document copies are deleted as soon as the viewer is closed.

  • How can I manage sending and receiving iManage Work documents between applications?
iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti uses Open-In to send and receive documents from other applications. Use the Ivanti admin portal to control which apps are allowed.

For Ivanti Neurons for MDM, see the Allow Open in setting as described in Editing default iOS AppConnect configuration.

  • Can I have users connect to two different Work servers for iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti?
iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti supports connections to more than one Work server or Work Cloud endpoint. These are displayed in numerical order based on the integer in the identifier, starting with 0. For more information, see the Server Configuration settings section in App policy configurations.

  • What is Privacy Curtain?
Privacy Curtain is a security feature that obscures the contents of iManage Work Mobility for Ivanti when the app is not active. This ensures that sensitive data is not leaked while switching between applications. This feature is enabled by default. To disable this feature the MI_AC_ENABLE_SCREEN_BLURRING = false key pair setting must be added in the Ivanti managed app config settings.
  • Where do I set Passcode settings and other security settings?
Passcode and other security settings are set within Ivanti. In the Ivanti Neurons for MDM admin portal, go to Configurations, then either create a new AppConnect Configuration or edit an existing AppConnect Configuration.

  • When setting up a new profile on an iPad, Ivanti defaults to configure this as a Mac, and won't allow the user to install iOS apps on the device and any apps on the device are not properly configured.
This is a known issue. For more information, see https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/118298.
    Workaround:

    1. Delete the Ivanti Profile and all apps.
    2. On the iPad, disable Request Desktop Website for all sites: Settings > Safari > Request Desktop Website.
    3. Reinstall all apps.
When the user installs the profile on the iPad, they will get the correct iOS profile.

  • When a user signs out (Settings > Sign Out), why does the app appear to crash?
When a user signs out of iManage Work, the app closes in order to delete all locally saved documents and emails. This is by design to ensure that no sensitive information is left on the device after the user signs out.
