When opening files for co-authoring using iManage, you can only open the latest version of the file.

However, in iManage Work at cloudimanage.com, you can browse to previous versions of any file and will be able to view the file in Microsoft 365 for the web. You can select a previous version and open it for co-authoring in Microsoft 365 for the web or in the Microsoft 365 applications for the desktop.

To open a specific version, do the following:

  1. Select the file and then select the kebab kebab_menu.png menu. Alternatively, right-click the file and select Open

  2. Select Versions. The Versions panel opens, displaying all the versions created for the selected file. 

  3. Select the version of the file you want to edit and then select the kebab_menu.png kebab menu.

  4. Select Open and then select one of the following options: 

    • View in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint: Lets you to view the file in Microsoft 365 for the web.

    • Edit (Co-author) in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint: Lets you edit or co-author the file in Microsoft 365 for the web.

    • Edit (Co-author) as new version in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint: Lets you edit the file as a new version in Microsoft 365 for the web.

    • Edit (Co-author): Opens the file in Microsoft 365 applications for the desktop.

The above-mentioned options may not be available if your administrator hasn't enabled them in iManage Control Center.
