Depending on your permissions, you can move documents to another folder.

  1. Select a document or several documents and open the kebab menu. 

  2. Select Move.
    The Move dialog box appears.

  3. Browse to the destination folder where you want to move the document.

  4. Select Move to complete the operation.

When you move a document that is not checked out or locked, the document's metadata changes to that of the parent destination folder. The security of the document isn't changed. If the document is checked out or locked, its metadata isn't changed. 

When a document is copied and pasted into another folder, both the metadata and the security are copied from the parent destination folder. 

You can't move documents between two different databases.

NOTE:

When moving documents, iManage Work supports updating the security of the document as per the security of the new parent. For more information, refer to Updating security when moving a folder or document.
