Enhancements to iManage Auto Updates
We’ve made enhancements to our iManage Auto Updates. From now on, after you install or upgrade to iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.9.0, you:
- Can make sure that the updates are automatically installed on your machine without you having to do anything.
- No longer have to close your Microsoft Office or Adobe Acrobat application when you upgrade to a later build or version of the application. Once the updates are installed, a yellow InfoBar is displayed in your Microsoft Office applications except Microsoft Visio as shown in the following figure.
To use the complete benefits of iManage Auto Updates, consult your administrator or refer to the iManage Work Desktop for Windows Installation Guide.
NOTE: You can use the above benefits only if you are upgrading from iManage Work Desktop for Windows 10.9.0 to a later version of the application. These benefits aren’t available if you are upgrading from a prior version of iManage Work Desktop for Windows (10.8.0 and prior).
Changes to co-authoring template
When you finish co-authoring a document and save it as a new document, you will see an email template with links to both the original and new document. Recipients can then select either the old or new document to co-author.
Enhanced accessibility to Browse and File dialog box and EMM toolbar
You can now use JAWS screen reader with Browse and File dialog box and EMM toolbar. You can also use the keyboard alternatives for mouse clicks on the EMM toolbar and Select Filing Location dialog box.
For more information about how to use the keyboard alternatives for EMM toolbar and Select Filing Location, refer to the Using EMM toolbar and Select Filing Location dialog box section in iManage Work Desktop for Windows Help.
Improvements to email filing
We’ve improved how your emails are filed in iManage Work. From now on,
- Emails can be filed, even if you moved them to a different location in your mailbox.
- Emails that aren’t filed due to various errors are marked with an error status.
If you own the mailbox you are working on, then you can view all the emails that aren’t filed due to various errors by selecting the Show Filing Errors, available in iManage tab in Microsoft Outlook. All emails that didn’t get filed can be seen in the Email Filing Failures folder.
You can then use the Retry Filing option available in the right-click menu to retry to file these emails. The emails are reprocessed and then filed to the previously suggested location(s).
